By: Andrew B. Raupp / @stemceo
STEM Gnōsis is the disciplined pursuit and application of knowledge within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — grounded in first principles, empirical validity, and logical coherence — distinguished from systems or constructs that merely adopt the label without meeting its methodological and intellectual standards.
Call for Submissions: STEM & STEM Education
STEM Gnōsis is now accepting original article submissions in the domains of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and STEM education. The publication is dedicated to advancing rigorous, technically grounded, and philosophically coherent work that strengthens both the practice of STEM and the integrity of its educational frameworks.
STEM Gnosis: The Ethical Burden of Knowing
We invite contributions from researchers, educators, practitioners, and independent scholars whose work demonstrates analytical precision, methodological clarity, and a commitment to advancing knowledge without distortion or dilution.
Scope of Submissions
We are actively seeking articles that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Applied and theoretical developments across STEM disciplines
- Systems-level analysis of emerging technologies and their real-world constraints
- Engineering, computational, and mathematical modeling approaches
- Empirical and experimental research with reproducible methodology
- STEM curriculum design, instructional models, and assessment frameworks
- Cognitive science and learning theory as applied to STEM education
- Evaluation, accreditation, and standards in STEM programming
- Historical and linguistic analysis of STEM as a construct and discipline set
- Critical examinations of misapplied or misclassified “STEM” initiatives
Submission Standards
All submissions must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate technical depth appropriate to the subject matter
- Be grounded in verifiable methods, data, or first-principles reasoning
- Maintain clarity of terminology and definitional precision
- Avoid ideological framing, unsupported claims, or speculative assertions
- Where applicable, include citations, models, or formal analysis
Submissions may range from structured essays and technical analyses to research summaries and formal position papers. Both discipline-specific work and cross-disciplinary studies are encouraged, provided they maintain rigor and coherence.
Editorial Position
STEM Gnōsis operates on the principle that STEM is not synonymous with all technological or institutional systems labeled as such. As such, submissions should reflect an awareness of the distinction between authentic STEM inquiry and its misapplications in non-scientific or non-technical domains.
Why STEM Needs Its Contrarians Now More Than Ever
The publication prioritizes work that contributes to the advancement, clarification, and proper application of STEM and STEM education — particularly where definitional, methodological, or structural ambiguities exist.
Submission Process
Authors interested in contributing are invited to submit original manuscripts for review. Selected works will be published as part of an ongoing effort to elevate the standard of discourse in both STEM and STEM education.

Recognition
STEM Gnōsis recognizes work that does more than inform — it clarifies, corrects, and endures. Submissions are evaluated for technical rigor, methodological integrity, and their contribution to the proper understanding and application of STEM and STEM education.
The top article of 2026 will receive a $500 USD award along with STEM.org Best In STEM Recognition, signifying placement among the highest standard of work in the field.
Additional selected contributions may be recognized for distinction in clarity, originality, and impact. All published authors become part of a growing body of work dedicated to advancing what is real, defensible, and properly defined within STEM.
Submit with intent. Write with discipline. Leave something that lasts.
